Soft Pretzel Recipe

Soft Pretzel Ice Cream Sandwich


These easy-to-make soft pretzels are salty and sweet, the perfect complement to the richness of Alden’s Organic Mint Chip ice cream.


  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cut into pieces)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 Sqround (48oz) Alden’s Organic Mint Chip


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F
  2. Line two baking pans with parchment paper and set aside
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, butter, sugar, and honey and bring to a boil
  4. Remove saucepan from heat and stir in flour until sticky paste forms
  5. Stir in eggs, one at a time, until well combined
  6. Transfer mixture to a piping bag with a round piping tip, or transfer to a zip lock back and snip the end to create an opening
  7. Pipe 8 pretzels into pretzel shapes on each set of parchment paper – 16 pretzels total
  8. Using a pastry brush, lightly coat with melted butter or egg wash, then generously top with pretzel salt
  9. Bake for 27-30 minutes, rotating pans halfway through
  10. Remove from oven when golden brown and allow to cool completely
  11. Place a large scoop of Alden’s Organic Mint Chip between two soft pretzels and enjoy!
